Underwriting & Due Diligence

Due Diligence Underwriting Review

Enables lenders to effectively meet the fluctuating demands of today’s mortgage origination market by providing a pre-underwriting review of your loan that determines the eligibility and program requirements.

UHS America will underwrite to either standard GSE’s/HUD (FHA/VA/USDA) Agency requirements or specific investor guidelines.

Our seasoned underwriting staff performs the underwriting review of your file which allows the lender’s staff to focus on the loan closing requirements.

Easy upload of files to our secure site, timely turnaround to meet your most stringent requirements, and real-time communication with our underwriters make this service an easy way to increase your volume without increasing your staff.

Pre-Purchase Underwriting Review

For correspondent lenders, we offer a thorough re-underwrite of closed loans prior to purchasing the loan.

Qualifying Assumption

Assumption Clause is a provision in a mortgage contract that allows the seller of a home to pass responsibility to the buyer of the home for the existing mortgage. The new homeowner assumes the existing mortgage. When an assumption is allowed under Investor/Agency, our underwriter has the expertise in Underwriting the new Assumption under the appropriate QC Repayment Guidelines.
